An update? What the hell is this? There aren't supposed to be any entries on this page.

Just got done with English 387: Fiction Writing. Given that I poured my heart and soul into these only to get what will probably be a C- for always showing up late, I figured that I might as well coerce others into reading them to satisfy my inflated ego.

So Ladies and Gentlemen, let me present Pardon the Mess )andPurgatory )
Comments, both the overly gentle and bitingly honest, are appreciated.

    An Introduction
Hi. My name is Alan Scott. Online, I usually go as arscott, or alanrileyscott if that's taken. And in a couple places, FightTheIlluminati and WannaBee. (Don't ask. Really.)

It would be somewhat useless to introduce myself further, as those of you who know me are already familiar with the things I might say, and those of you who don't know me most likely don't care.

Instead, this is an introduction to this... Site.

I suppose that site is the most appropriate word. You might have called it a collection, but, as I haven't written anything yet, collection is probably too ambitious a term. It's certainly not a journal. I've very little interest in describing my rather boring existence in minute detail. I've got better things to write, and more importantly, you've got better things to read.

Instead, this is a site. A place. A place where I can set down my otherwise fleeting thoughts and ideas in the surprisingly enduring medium of stored electrical charges.

    ---
About thirty minutes ago, an idea popped into my head. It was a reasonably good Idea and I felt it deserved to be shared. of course, this being seven o'clock in the morning (an hour when no reasonable person is up), there wasn't anybody to share it with.

So I turned to that faithful friend and all-consuming time-waster that is the internet. Having no other readily available space (save for a bit that the university gives me for school projects), I turned to the good folks at LiveJournal. I clicked the button, read through the terms of service, and filled in a little bit of information, and now here I am with a LiveJournal account.

Of course, by now I've forgotten what I wanted to write about in the first place, so I suppose the whole exercise has been in vain.

I hope you enjoyed reading this, and I hope you will return in the future for more pointless digressions.
